Del Valle Texas

Del Valle is a unique community located to the Southeast of Austin. While Del Valle itself is not an incorporated area it’s postal address and the Del Valle Independent School District have long fostered the idea of a small town. Most of Del Valle is outside the city limits of Austin but the City of Austin has annexed strips of land along the major roadways (Hwys. 183 and 71) and most of the subdivisions in the area. There is still plenty of rural land east and southeast that has not been annexed as of yet. Rumors are flying about various developments and other possibilities for the area.

Formula One in Del Valle

Circuit of the Americas will be hosting the Formula One races and other events. The site for COTA and the Formula One racetrack is situated on a tract of land (about 1100 acres) in a community called Elroy.

Del Valle Has a Lot to Offer

This has brought a lot of speculation to the area of Del Valle. Most of what is considered Del Valle is just a short drive to Downtown and South Austin. State Hwy. 130 traverses the center of the area so commuting to other sections of the Austin metro is easily attainable. Also, Del Valle is home to Austin- Bergstrom International Airport, which should encourage a wide range of businesses and other developments that would be beneficial to the area. Del Valle’s location to Austin makes it a great place to live and if planned accordingly could be a great asset to Austin and Travis County. As a 35 year resident, I would love to see growth that benefits the area residents as well as the City of Austin and Travis County. Del Valle offers a diverse population as well as a varied landscape. The topography offers rolling hills, with views that go on for miles, farms and ranches, and new homes that are modern with many of the amenities that today’s home buyers are looking for. Del Valle is another progressive and productive community in the Austin metro area. I love living and working in the area and would be happy to show you around.
